For more than 20 years, Best Friends Fur Ever has been committed to creating more good days for Maryland dogs. Now, we’re asking Maryland to help us fill some dog bowls.
Donate unopened dog food or treats at either Best Friends Fur Ever resort, or take the #MarylandDogFoodChallenge and challenge others to join you.
Our goal: Stuff the Pantry in October so we can begin helping Maryland families in November and December.
Life can change unexpectedly. A job loss, medical emergency, or financial setback can make it difficult for a family to afford even the basics. Ahead of the holidays, we’re building the Best Friends Fur Ever Pet Food Pantry so families facing temporary hardship don’t have to worry about how they’ll feed their dog.
How to Take the #MarylandDogFoodChallenge
It’s simple: donate, share, and challenge someone next.
1. Accept the Challenge
Collect unopened dog food and treats. Donate one bag or organize an entire food drive—every donation counts.
2. Take a Photo or Video
Show us what you collected!
3. Post + Tag Us
Share your donation on social media, tag @BestFriendsFurEver and use:
#MarylandDogFoodChallenge
#StrongerTogetherForMarylandDogs
4. Challenge Someone Next
Tag 2–3 friends, businesses, veterinary offices, schools, churches or organizations and challenge them to do it next.
5. Drop Off Your Donation
Bring your donation to either Best Friends Fur Ever resort:

Then watch the Challenge keep moving across Maryland.

Register your business or organization with us so we know you’re participating, then:
- Collect unopened dog food and treats.
